Bird Dog Builders is a family-owned design-build contractor serving Sacramento and the surrounding communities. We specialize in thoughtfully planned renovations, additions, ADUs, and custom homes, guiding homeowners from the earliest planning stages through final construction.

Our philosophy is simple: every project deserves the same level of care and craftsmanship we'd expect in our own home.

Rather than pursuing volume, we intentionally take on a limited number of projects each year. That allows us to provide the attention, communication, and quality every project deserves.

Built by Mark Berger

With more than 20 years in the construction industry, Mark Berger brings a unique perspective to residential construction. He began his career in commercial construction, where he managed complex projects, coordinated skilled trades, and solved problems before they become costly. Over the past decade, he has focused on residential construction, combining that project management experience with hands-on building expertise.

Today, Mark personally oversees every Bird Dog Builders project—from pre-construction planning and permitting through the final walkthrough—working closely with homeowners, architects, engineers, and trusted trades to deliver homes that are thoughtfully built and built to last.
